About
This webinar will present the findings of our latest brief, prepared under the leadership of UNCTAD with substantive input from Circular Innovation Lab: “A Consumer Label on Plastics and Plastics Substitutes.”
As global attention on plastics intensifies, consumer labels have emerged as a key tool for driving transparency, preventing greenwashing, and aligning consumer behavior with circular economy goals. Yet, inconsistent standards and unclear communication continue to limit their effectiveness.
Therefore, this discussion will highlight how well-designed labelling systems can empower consumers, strengthen recycling, and support international cooperation on sustainable trade.
