About
As part of the Circular Economy Leaders Community, this interactive workshop will introduce Green Value Chain (GVC) Connect, a new initiative developed by the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) to strengthen collaboration across global value chains and accelerate sustainability action. The session will explore how GVC Connect aims to bridge gaps between corporations, suppliers, technical assistance providers, policymakers, and financiers by improving access to knowledge, support programmes, and practical tools that enable circular economy implementation.
Building on discussions and key insights from the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF), the workshop will present the current GVC Connect approach and share early lessons from its pilot programme in the agri-food sector. Developed in collaboration with the GEF-funded FARM programme, the pilot focuses on advancing the sustainable management of agrochemicals and agri-plastics through coordinated action between retailers, food brands, and support organisations. Participants will gain an overview of the project's objectives, emerging outcomes, and future plans for expansion.
The event will also provide a platform for dialogue and co-creation, inviting participants to share feedback on the design and future direction of GVC Connect. Through expert presentations, real-time polling, and an open discussion, attendees will explore opportunities, challenges, and potential collaborations that can support more sustainable and circular value chains. Particular attention will be given to the initiative's potential application in other sectors, including electronics, critical raw materials, and e-waste management, helping shape a scalable and inclusive approach to value chain transformation.
