About
As supply chains become increasingly complex and regulatory expectations around transparency continue to grow, artificial intelligence is often presented as a transformative solution. Yet where does AI genuinely add value today, and where are its capabilities still constrained by data availability and quality?
Moderated by Apoorva Arya, Founder and CEO of Circular Innovation Lab, this session brings together experts from the fashion, construction, chemicals, and digital innovation sectors to explore the practical applications of AI in supply chain transparency and traceability. Through real-world examples, panellists will examine how AI is being used to improve access to chemical and material information, strengthen data management, and support emerging tools such as digital product and building passports.
Guiding a cross-sector dialogue between industry leaders, researchers, and international organisations, Apoorva Arya will help unpack both the opportunities and limitations of AI-enabled supply chains. The discussion will focus on the data, governance, and interoperability foundations needed for digital systems to succeed, while addressing challenges such as data reliability, verification, and the risk of creating additional burdens for SMEs and suppliers in producer countries. By fostering knowledge exchange between the fashion and construction sectors, the session aims to provide practical insights into building more transparent, accountable, and inclusive global supply chains.
