About
Hazardous chemicals are among the most critical barriers to achieve circular supply chains. This session focuses on the importance of removing hazardous chemicals from supply chains in support of climate, biodiversity and pollution goals and to allow materials to become truly circular. It is essential to develop local circular capacities to gain a leading position in the transformation toward sustainable supply chains. The session, presenting systemic solutions, underlines the role of regional leadership in advancing global transitions.
The session will equally explore new information on transparency frameworks, innovative alternatives, financial models and policy advances. It will also feature discussions on collaborative public-private initiatives and actionable pathways for implementation. Additionally, the session will include the sharing of local examples, regulatory innovations, capacity-building programs and success stories related to circular supply chains.
