About
The ICC Sustainability Conclave is India’s leading forum on sustainable chemical manufacturing, jointly organized by the Indian Chemical Council and the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Government of India.
Held over two days, the Conclave brought together senior leaders from government, industry, academia, and international organizations to discuss key priorities for the sector, including decarbonization, ESG strategies, digital transformation, product stewardship, cleaner energy transitions, and circular economy solutions. As a flagship national platform, it fostered high-level dialogue, knowledge exchange, and cross-sector collaboration.
Among the highlights, Mr. Dennis Beel, Global Chemicals Leader at PwC Belgium, emphasized that sustainability is no longer optional, it is the new normal. His insights on AI-driven innovation, green finance, and industry resilience set the tone for forward-looking discussions. Circular Innovation Lab’s COO, Arpit Bhutani, together with Ludovic Bernaudat of UNEP, underlined the importance of collaboration between government and industry in advancing responsible chemical and waste management. The exchange reaffirmed that meaningful progress depends on shared accountability and multi-stakeholder action.
The Conclave marked a decisive step toward building a more sustainable, competitive, and resilient chemical industry, aligned with India’s vision of Viksit Bharat and the global transition to a circular, low-carbon economy.
