The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) will host the first International Conference of the Global Framework on Chemicals this November in Geneva, Switzerland. 

The event will bring together governments, businesses, and international organizations to discuss how to reduce harm from chemicals and waste, with the goal of creating a safer and more sustainable future.

The conference is part of the Global Framework on Chemicals, a global plan adopted in 2023 that sets out 5 key objectives and 28 targets. These guide countries and stakeholders in managing chemicals responsibly throughout their entire life cycle to protect both human health and the environment.
